I’m Willie Hewes and I run this ship. ITCH is a small-scale operation — a one-lady band. Its mission is to bring high-quality, home-grown comics to an audience that appreciates the personal, the quirky, and the strange and unusual.
What kind of comics?
Like independent film, independent comics generally aren’t so much about the action, special effects and the mass appeal, but more about the creator’s vision, patient studies of character and enquiries into the human condition. Or, occasionally, stuff that’s so crazy nobody else would be mad enough to publish it.
ITCH has books in both these categories, and is always on the lookout for more.
