The good people at Inspired Comics alerted me to this: a comics drawing course available to anyone 16+ living in the West Midlands.
COMIX—Calling all Comic Heroes!
It involves real live comics professionals including John McCrea (X-MEN, SPIDERMAN AND THE HULK), Hunt Emerson (THE BEANO, WALL STREET JOURNAL AND FORTEAN TIMES), Laura Howell (THE BEANO, THE GUARDIAN), Asia Alfasi (IMAF WINNER, BEST NEW MANGA, BLOOMSBURY GRAPHIC NOVELIST) and Andi Watson (GEISHA, BUFFY) and is run by Hi8us, which seems to be some sort of young people’s culture/media thing.
Pretty cool! Wish we had something like that in Bristol, but if you’re in or around Brum, I think you should check it out.
