Some news from the resident comic book artist at the V&A:
Open Studios
It’s the London Design Festival next week (19th – 25th September) and the V&A is hosting a number of events. To coincide with this we are holding more Open Studio sessions.
Stories for Humans: Contemporary Comics
See some of the V&A’s excellent comics in this display that includes comics from the collection selected by Karen Rubins, along with some of my own work. This display will contain an interactive element where visitors are invited to add a panel to a giant comic, in a much larger version of the popular one-panel-each-comic pub game.
Other Events
There are a large number of events for young people ( 11 – 19) this Autumn on the theme of comics and manga. 10th October is Manga Day, with events run by Sweatdrop Studios, Willie Hewes, Sammy Borras, and Karen Rubins. There are also various courses and portfolio advice sessions available throughout October and November.
