Patrick Warren is a UK manga veteran, with two rather English books to his name: the Manga Shakespeare adaptation of Richard III and Henry VIII. You can find his artwork and animations on his site,  I suggest you check it out, there’s some good stuff there. His contribution to Leek & Sushi’s book is a story set in Africa during a drought. A young man is unhappy with the way he’s treated by his elders, and sets out on his own. It’s one of my favourites in the collection, and if you check out the previews below, I think you’ll agree it looks pretty great. Patrick will be signing his Manga Shakespeare books (and possibly other books you might take to him) in the Comic Village at the MCM Expo on Saturday, from 4pm. I suggest you go say hi. I have had some very illuminating discussions with artist at signing events. As long as you’re polite about it and don’t hold up a huge queue or anything, it’s a good opportunity to pick someone’s brain.
