The Pariah’s Urn

The Pariah’s Urn is a project by French creator YdAo (portfolio site). It is an adventure with thieves, witches, golems and an evil alchemist.

You may have picked up the preview chapter if you’ve seen ITCH at any recent events. YdAo is currently working hard on drawing the rest of the story. ITCH hopes to publish this book once it is finished, and I’m personally very excited about this story and the original and interesting world-building YdAo has going on.

It’s not currently possible to promise you a release date, as that will depend on many different factors, but if, after reading the preview, you are intrigued, please leave a comment, and keep an eye on the blog.

Meet the characters

Yeddrick

This young thief could not imagine a worse way to end a day so rich in swag.

His latest victim looked like an easy prey, but turned out to be a great predator instead! Now he and his friends must suffer the wrath of this traveller who calls himself “The Alchemist”.

Yeddrick is determined to find him again, but it will be an arduous task; he is now weighed down by a curse that will make his life more complicated and much more dangerous.

The Alchemist

He comes from far, far away, and is looking for something that only an alchemist could give him.

He calls himself “The Alchemist”, but he seems to be capable of things that go far beyond the alchemical arts.

He appears as a hesitant traveller, and an easy victim for any self-respecting thug, but behind this mask lurks perhaps the greatest danger to the universe since its creation…

Kali

She is a “mystic”, a practitioner of an occult art taught only among women, which has earned them the scorn of the alchemists and many people are suspicious of them.

She has been following The Alchemist for a long time, and for reasons of her own.

Her path will cross Yeddrick’s, and despite their differences they will have to join their forces to overcome the mounting obstacles on their way.
Like all mystics of her rank, Kali is able to manipulate the shadows in her environment to create fighters that can go toe to toe with the alchemists’ golems.

Eiola

Daughter of an eminent alchemist, and although she’s only eight years old, she is surprisingly bright and mature in outlook.

She is especially gifted in alchemy, and strives to be just as good as her father.

Her abilities as a healer, her unbreakable optimism and her golems will be a valuable help to Yeddrick when she joins him on his journey.
