The Daily Draw is the output of a radical ninja art training program. This method of training was recorded in a secret scroll passed down the generations. Recently it was translated into English by the last descendent of the art ninja clan, who happens to be my cousin, and adapted to internet implementation. None of this is true, but the training works like this:
- You draw something everyday
- You upload the drawings and publish one every day
- You set yourself little and large challenges and try different things
- All your fellow art ninjas do the same and watch what you’re doing
- Peer pressure keeps you on the case
- Failure is not acceptable
- You start gaining ninja skills through regular practice
If you would like to join the Daily Draw, please draw something today, and e-mail the result to bumblemoo@gmail.com, kaiki@hybridcage.net or willie@itchpublishing.com. Your drawing will be evaluated and you will be sent a link to where you can sign up. Within a few days (this is a manual process, I’m sorry) your account will be activated and you can start posting.
Rules for the Daily Draw:
- You draw every day, 15 mts minimum.
- Some of your drawings will suck. You have to publish them anyway, unless you draw something better on the same day.
- Days run from when you get up to when you go to sleep.
- If you draw many things one day, you still have to draw the next day. You can post more than one drawing per day if you want to, but you can’t carry them on to the day after. Neither can you make up for days lost. You have to draw on each day.
- If you work on one, complicated piece over a couple of days, you can post the progress made each day, but only if the progress is significant.
Joining the Daily Draw will help you draw regularly, make drawing a habit, get less precious about your drawings, gain confidence, try new things and, as a result of all these, learn to draw better faster.
