A retouch on the original sketch. Sliiiightly influenced by Streetfighter 4, yes. X3 I may work on it again, depending on what the client thinks. I get the feeling the blacks are way too inky and thick looking for his tastes. Coloured in Photoshop.

The thick bold lines look great, along with the strong colours
the texture/pattern-ness in the clothes is really interesting.
Love the Street Fighter 4 influence! (I originally wrote Street Fighter 2…I’m always saying 2 and not 4 for some reason >.<; )
Must be hard to control a heavy ink brushed look, but I think its working well here – I especially like the lines coming off the figure ^_^
Nice, he’s kinda yummy. I’m not sure what’s going on with the colouring on his jeans, but it really works. Street Fighter 4 is cool, but I did feel they were a bit overly self-concious about their artsiness. It was like they were constantly saying “yeah… look at us… it’s… ART!” A little bit.
Anyway.
Thanks guys – Yes it is hard to get the brushes to shape right, a lot of brushing, erasing and re-brushing is done.
And yeah, I sometimes got the feeling SF4 was overly-arty, but other times, not arty enough – e.g. not enough of the brush effect during fights. – Though that’s probably my own error, as I don’t use specials and counters nearly enough!
If you imagine that the brushy effects represent your character’s “chi”, it makes sense though.
