Bookcase Texture Paint

EDIT – forgot to say! The top square is the size I painted it at and the lower square is the size that’s actually used on the model ^_^
OK so this might make up for yesterday’s cop-out post of non-current artwork.  I just finished this texture paint which has not only taken today to complete, [...]

2009 Jiman Entry - 'Solar Powered'

Not really new, but as I hinted at bits of it as I was working on it last year, I thought it would be good to put a link to the final version up at some point (drawing a ton last year that I never uploaded at that time can count for today’s drawing, right? [...]

30 mins, reffed from http://x-horizon.deviantart.com/art/Red-Stairs-don-t-Cry-29741123
Wow, that was my longest break ever from DD I think ^^;  ~says sorry to self~  But I have been working hard on arty stuff – just 3D rather than 2D ^^ (plus, I killed my shoulder muscles using the tablet for long hours in a crap position so I couldn’t [...]

Whut.

I saw Scandi’s Hamlet cover and got rather inspired.
I bet Hamlet would love some mustard too.
Though personally, I haven’t eaten it for years.
Oh, and here’s what I drew yesterday.

I don’t need help, I promise.

Hamlet

Hamlet

I am not done with Dostoyevsky, but I had a revelation at bedtime yesterday, kept me up for hours: How to do the cover for Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”.
The initial idea for the cover came when I watched Sir Laurence Olivier’s phenomenal performance as the Danish prince. He seemed to make the tragedy all the more vivid [...]

FxF WIP

So I’ve resumed drawing FxF, because I have more time now. Here’s some WIP close-ups.
Looking back at my pages I drew last year, I still am pretty happy about them. I’m not sure whether it’s a good thing or not haha.

The Idiot preview 1

Ever since I did the cover for my own story last May ( http://scandinavianlullaby.deviantart.com/art/Little-China-Cup-124433807 ), I’ve been wanting to do more cover art for books (after all, it is uniting two of my biggest passions).
Somehow, I never got around to actually doing it, though… But here’s to changing that: The beginnings of a cover illustration [...]

did some more in-depth skull studies, although personally i think i should get away from my obsession with heads and start learning some real anatomy… in other areas i mean. :’D
actually, i’m not even sure what the word ’study’ means for art. i guess it just means drawing the subject over and over again until [...]

My friend let me borrow this book from her a few weeks ago, but I never got around to actually learning from it, which is what i’ve been starting today. It’s a very very very very very good book, I’ve learned quite a lot from it even though I’ve only gone through the first fifteen [...]
