Okay so I read the script a little wrong with the client the other day – The main character is a human girl and the Bear is a non-speaking teddybear, who doesn’t speak, however to the human girl (Lilli) he does. If that makes sense?

These scribbles I conjured up in about 30 minutes… Really don’t want to spend too long on a mock up if there is a hazy connection between myself and the client… lol >.>

I was asked to draw an elephant that sort of resembles a plant…?

“Abstract” was the word!

I’m back!!!

My first post of 2010, I can’t believe it! >_<

I’ve been so busy and neglecting my drawing. But as my freelance work picks up again, I will be posting them here to’ y’know, prove that I’m being a little pro-active and adding to the Daily Draw cause somehow!

With these bear sketches, the client basically doesn’t know what she wants. So I conjured up some randoms. The story is about a bear finding his socks, aimed at 3-9 year olds.

Now I know this is kinda random, but I was just checking my RSS lists, and saw 3oknight’s post and saw a YouTube link (and I always check out YouTube links I’m referred to!), gave it a listen and huzzah, I drew something! Funny what can give you the kick up the bum to draw

And music is my ultimate inspiration when it comes to drawing. I can almost not draw without it, unless I’m finding a plotline too frustrating. And after seeing 3ok’s curvy, music-ky sketch, I thought it’d be interesting to see what Rhapsody in Blue would bring out of me too.

It brought out a rush-sketch, within about 1 play and a half of the YouTube video, before I started to see flaws in the picture and wanting to start over (must! resist!).

I felt something elegant and sexy (the woman, the man, the romance) in the music at first, until it sort of rolls out into something more upbeat (riding a fast horse chariot), even chaotic, and scary at times (riding a fast horse chariot! badly!). I also tried emulating 3ok’s musical man as the passenger – Just to represent, you know, “the link”

I LIVE! Just to let people know that I am still around and will be posting art again soon. Just not at least for another 3-4 weeks, as I’m on this maths course (and I have to teach my brain to like it!). I currently have learnt long division, long multiplication and am now revising on fractions, decimals and percentages… basic stuff for most I’m sure! ^^;

WEBSITE! I had been working on my portfolio website, though it’s still in basic form, and likely to change. Speaking of which, I will be adding a “Friends” page where I will be adding links – Of course, all you lovely people I would consider as online artsy friends, so yeah, hit me up with your website link, and I’ll add you on the next site update, yo. ^___^#

BOOK STUFFZ! I have also been working on my book. Not necessarily the art, but more the script, and rounding it up to readable, believable levels… still a lot to do.

Second and final page for the two-page comic. Yes, it’s a bit gross. NOT my story haha, I’m just the artist following the script, if that helps! Still, drawing something sickening is a nice change from what I usually do. o_o/^_^ I’ve never felt my stomach turn while drawing before…

I haven’t drawn a comic in over a year, so I’ve been more self-critical than usual. And because of that, sometimes I fail at getting the “free-flow” effect when drawing, and the comic turns out stiffer than I want it to be… lol, isn’t that kind of ironic?

This comic is a quick 2-pager, which will be in the first issue of Revenant magazine… After all this contributing to things, I feel I really need to get back to me, and working on my personal project. But there’s so many competitions and collabo projects out there! What to do…

The girl is a ZOMBIE! Beware – gets quite bloody tomorrow, lol.

Well, that animation I did does. Oh, and me, I is returnage! I think I missed this place ^^

I’ve been working on my final animated contributions to the Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated project, which is hopefully at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con (sad I won’t be there). I still think I need much more experience in animating (you can view the clips (very short!) here and here.). Luckily, the point of the project is having clips be alongside other kinds, so it won’t be highly noticeable! It’s like a sort of, collaborative, animated blur… I really recommend this kind of project to every and anyone ^_^ Done in Flash MX.

I think I preferred Kit Kat when it was foil wrapped. mm..

I’m going to disappear for a tiny while, as I have loads of work to do before the end of the week, which might run into next week, so…

I could post what I’m doing, but I will be animating, and I don’t want to bore you with frame after frame of animation (again) lol

The other day, a girl lost her temper at a customer at work. She didn’t cry like this, but I think after it all, she wanted to.

The customer was indeed being unreasonable. But in the end, she got worst end of the stick, as she was the one who failed to act “professional”.

Funny how “being professional”, no matter the job, just means showing little or no emotion, demeanor-wise.

(Drawn straight with fineliner – agh, I failed to colour her! must do more colour work!)

(Oh, and woo! We’re in July and over the halfway mark into 2009! that was fast…)
