Another to add to the ‘give up’ folder. I bit off more than I could chew. I think I should just start off with cel shade and develope my own style from there rather than trying to leapfrog and fail.

AS results were cool, new school year and new job in the next few weeks. Hopefully this time next year, I’ll have just come back from a Japan trip with friends, have greatly improved in art, and be on the way to University of Sheffield to study History w/Japanese(or Chinese).

I’m on the Isle of Harris at the moment so I can’t scan, but I have MS Paint and the laptop touchpad. I’m sorry for the rubbishiness of this drawing. It was very frustrating to draw that way It’s (pretty much) the view from our front window. It’s really lovely to see the sea all the time The scenery here is incredible.

Exam results day D: It didn’t think I’d want them, but I now realise it actually is frustrating not to have your results when everyone else has theirs.

Also..

For my aqa bac extended project I said I was going to write about something to do with comics, but I’m having trouble framing the question for it. I have to do a long essay of several thousand words, but I can’t decide the exact question and topic. I don’t know which area will have the most opportunities for research, on top of what kind of question will be good to ask within that…

I was thinking I’d like to look at girls’ or womens’ comics, or early 20th century comics, or political comics… Hmmm :S I’m just too vague about it!

How about some kind of comparison between post war girls’ comics in japan and in britain?

I just wanted to ask the advice of daily drawers I know a lot of you are interested in comics.

Same thing again but in a different paint chat that simulates what I would use better. I didn’t finish it, took too long. I don’t like it, poor choice and use of colour.
